RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Oh no, I was talking about small and local bands lol
It's different then, right.
Still though, session drummers are a different beast and I don't think Simon will have too many troubles juggling Maiden and British Lion. In fact I can imagine playing the British Lion stuff in between could help in releasing the pressure and stress of having to fill Nicko's shoes.
Well said.
I could imagine that Simon would like to have a British Lion gig the day before Maiden every time to prepare in the sense of a warm-up in the broader sense.
Really?
Just get some anonymous guy and put an Eddie mask on him.
Nicko has the masks from the 80's, no, lol. Samson Maiden, arghh!
Any news on Sooty yet? I mean, he's a major part of the band
I think Sooty will be part of Titanium Tart's shows.
What if... They said that Simon will tour with them in 2025. And we know that Joe Lazarus had already booked 2025 (has some work to do with other bands) So, maybe Joe will join Maiden in 2026?
Definitely this!
That would be such a surprise. Can't see it, and after some comments.

Me too, though it is not that I feel too old. I am just done with professional mega events, safebet shows and old bands. Small bands forging their paths in rathole venues excite me more than pinnacle homecomings. I enjoy Maiden at home. Live, it is other bands.

I do not have a problem with old bands per se, but the 2025 Maiden show is really expensive*. Going to the London show with my wife and daughter would end up costing us probably £500 or more and that is a significant amount of money. I am not sure I would be bothering getting tickets next time around (if there is one).

* I know someone would immediately reply “Maiden tickets are not as expensive as those from other old bands” but that does not make them less expensive.

...and pigs will fly!

You could take this "2025" to mean that someone else will join the band after that, but certainly not Joe Lazarus.
Why would his father freak out so much if he knew that Joe's engagement with Maiden would only be delayed by a year because of other jobs?

But I also thought that it was a strange wording.

My daughter is 3 now. Although it would be great to take her to a Maiden gig in 5 years, I doubt the band will be still around. I wouldn’t be able to afford tickets anyway!

Preferring smaller venues over arenas and preferring to support newcomers instead of old legends is "oof"? It's perfectly alright to choose otherwise, but calling it oof says something about your mindset, and it's not good, bro...
What the fuck do you know about my mindset, honey?

I replied with oof because...

You accuse them of price gouging on the shirts (probably true).

You accuse them of safebet setlists (Not in the last 10yrs, not in my opinion).

And you say they pander to younger fans, the implication being that it's for financial gain, to sell more tickets. This calls their artistic integrity into question (impossible to tell but I doubt it).

So you're damn right I consider that worthy of an oof. Doesn't mean I think you're entirely wrong or not entitled to express your opinion, just means I saw it as quite a dig at the band. Which it is. Which is fine.

It was nothing to do with your gig preferences, which seem similar to my own.

Fair enough but look at the prices for AC/DC or Sabbath. Maiden are nearly half the price.
Agreed but I still think £80-100 for a Maiden gig is too much. I'm greatful that Maiden are at the lower end of the price scale in terms of big gigs but it's still too dear, in my opinion. When Maiden are done I'd be surprised if I ever went to an arena/stadium gig again.

Tix for arena shows across the board are way too expensive. I would like to see Ghost for my birthday but the cost is significantly more than what I paid to see Maiden in Charlotte. Plus I will be 60 this year, when Maiden and Priest are done I think my concert going days are over.

I do not think I will stop going to concerts, but I have definitely started being very selective and thinking very carefully which gigs to go to as a result of the extortionate prices that some bands are charging these days.

The Run for Your Lives tour would be the first Maiden one since the Early Days tour where I will only attend one gig and the main reason for this is the cost.

Speaking of ticket prices, I am very curious to see how much the Black Sabbath ones will be.

These are the roumored prices but not officially confirmed yet.

PL1 Gold Circle Standing – £395 ($495)

PL2 Best Seats – £395 ($495)

PL3 Seats – £275 ($340)

PL4 GA Standing – £250 ($310)

PL5 Seats – £195 ($240)

PL6 Seats – £175 ($215)

I hate stadium gigs in general but I won't stop going to arenas. But these gigs will be fewer for me if prices continue to rise. That's why festivals are a more appealing option for me now. 100+ bands for the price of a stadium ticket. Get all your annual concert going done in one weekend.
