RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

LotB '22 seems like it'd be the opposite of my experience of the show back in 2018. I thought it was a shame to have to leave once RTTH started to beat the crowd and get a cab back to the hotel early since it was sounding so good. Had it been in 2022 I probably would've been running out the door screaming before I heard Churchill start yapping.

I saw both LOTB tours. 1.0 was clearly the winner and basically a perfect classics set. That being said, 2.0 was nowhere near the disaster it's been made out to be. But it clearly had pacing (and tempo) issues. Couldn't really be helped given the unique circumstances.

My biggest issue was that we never got a decent live recording/video release. NOTD is to this day the only live album that I've never managed to get all the way through. It's just dog shit and that's saying something when ARLDO exists.

That being said I feel bad for hating it given that it was done as a present to fans to compensate for the cancelled tour. I guess you could say it's the thought that counts?

I have never had to pay for a present!

The 2018 show was my favourite tour by far. 2022 was a good show. I enjoyed the first 3 Senjutsu songs (the stage moving in broad daylight was ridiculous though). Also the Revelations/Blood Brothers/SOTC/Icarus quadrilogy was awesome. The set list was just a bit all over the place.

NOTD is also my least favourite live album. God knows why I have 3 copies of it (one was a present). At least the packaging is awesome.

When do the shows usually start (time wise)? Also when do you guys think the set list will be revealed?
IIRC Maiden starts around 20:45 to 21:00 / 8:45pm to 9:00pm and the show lasts around one and a half to two hours.
I think the previous few tours had not setlist announcements. They revealed the songs on social media as they were playing them on the first show of the tour.

A vinyl rip which you then process with Ozone makes for a serviceable record. The CD is awful (and that's not even counting the audience ambience), with headache-inducing guitars. I can listen to the vinyl rip though.

Simon Dawson is gonna speed up the song to a tempo that would make Maiden in 99 look slow.
Is that possible. Especially the '99 version. edit: I don't think Simon's speed will be an issue, well, I hope so.
It will sound better than '22 (the spot is important) and is an essential classic, but Aces High has become an overplayed song in recent years, so I hope not. And they can't top the prop.

The 2022 tour pace was really odd (more in the middle and in the end ofc than at the beginning with the new songs, which was bold and cool), but I agree, it wasn't that bad. Still a good show. Legacy 1.0 was best ofc. But I don't think even with Wicker Man in the set they could have fixed it. Agreed about the circumstances and tempo of some songs. Last year some songs were faster! They wanted to release something back then (appreciate this), but why with such a sound and performances, when you can choose from 2018 as well? And multiple shows. Great packaging, I have to note this. No video release will always be a major letdown, but iirc they wanted to record some of the shows during the canceled leg of the tour. That's not an excuse though.

I really hope if they release something from TFP (but when?), the production and sound to be better. Wacken 2023 videos weren't that much of an improvement though. They should use Kevin for the live stuff, it's simple.

Strangely Paris 2022 started at 8:05. Many fans were still queeing at the bar or toilettes.
I remember in a few festivals they were at the top at the bill wich means play like at 0000am or even 1am. I told to my friends thats imposible they are not going to do that. And then Iron maiden played at 900pm and the festival ended with rose tatoo and the other one with dio and motorhead ending nearly at 3am

Sure, headlining a festival doesn't mean being the last band on stage.

I'll never forget that mild May day in 2023 - unlocking my phone, after powering through a busy brunch shift, and scrolling Instagram at the song by song set-list photos while having some holy FUCK moments seeing the images for Caught Somewhere in Time and Hell on Earth. It makes me wonder what type of content will be shown for this tour!
