This is such an emotive topic, and everyone doubtless will have different opinions on it.

At the end of the day, Steve owns the brand and founded the band. That said, the current lineup has been around for such a long time that I hope we don't get into the situation that only a couple of "classic" members are left and the rest are session musicians. They would still sell tickets but do they really need the money?

I would prefer them to go out when the band are pretty much stil at the top of their game. If Nicko needs a backup drummer to help him out, I have no issue with that, but I hope they stop before zimmer frames are required.

I don't think it's the last tour, mainly because of the phrasing in the press release about "the last time they'll play some of these songs." It's not ironclad, but it could easily be read as "some of these songs won't be played on future tours."

I do agree with a lot of assertions here that it likely will be Nicko's last tour.

Nothing wrong with Zimmer frames or crutches! One can still dance and prance!

I think their last tour is gonna be a one song per album tour.Maybe with Joe Lazarus on drums. But around 2030 (one new album before that).

Maybe the last tour with Nicko featuring (maybe partly as a guest) but I hope they replace him with someone who put a brand new energy into a band. Who knows maybe next 5 - 7 years they will be around with us.

Very difficult to answer. I think they want to continue, but their age is catching up on them now. If they want to continue, they should cut down to something like Metallica are doing: two shows a week for about a month. But they don’t have the budget to do that.

The theme of this upcoming tour show they are short on ideas for their greatest hits tours. As a fan, I would love to see them make a new record and tour that afterwards, but if this is the last major tour, then it is a good one. They certainly deserve to bow off with pride if they want to.

No this won’t be the last tour but I do believe this is part.1 of the farewell tour.

The venues they’ve picked and the fact the tour is based around the first 9 albums only with no real theme (legacy of the beast, future past etc) leads me to believe this the first part of the last big tour.

Part 2 will go from X factor to the end and start in 2027 and go for 2 years then that’s it.

I also think that in late 2026 they could sneak out one last album so that the part 2 tour also has 9 albums to draw from.

When part 2 finishes end if 2028 then they won’t announce retirement they’ll just go quiet and depending on health will pop up every so often for a headline festival date and that’s it.

This all depends on everyone’s health as anything could happen between now and the end of 2028.

If i am correct, @Kalata posted summary of the latest Steve interview, in which Steve confirmed that the stage of the upcoming tour will be very different. It's very interesting, what they have up their sleeve this time, and how they will change usual stage set. I sorta can't believe that they will go adventurous with their stage, but since they have played Alexander, maybe they will go all in this time?

Just my guessing for Run for Your Lives tour:

Mid January and February 2026 South America
End of May to end June or start of July 2026 Europe (B markets, Balkan, Baltic countries), maybe few concerts UK
Mid July and August 2026 North America
Autumn 2026 Japan, Australia
