RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Rime wasn't played since 1987 when they did it in SBIT. Moonchild was in the same situation as ID (only played on its album tour). Prisoner and SSOASS also weren't played for a long time when ME happened. I agree they started getting a little bit more creative since Bruce's cancer on TBOS tour, but every tour had its bit of surprises.
Since reunion. The setlist in 99 was full of songs that they didnt play in a decade or more.

Just listened to a full recording of Infinite Dreams and it sounded fantastic. Some were saying that this song would have no chance because it was so demanding for Bruce and I'm left scratching my head at that. Songs that are live staples like The Trooper or Hallowed, or the often memed vocal BDSM are far more demanding than ID and that never stopped them from playing those. ID is in a pretty sweet spot, where Bruce is often in the Trooper/Hallowed register, but at the same time the passages are nowhere near as fast, nor as long since ID keeps changing keys here and there.

Hallowed is more demanding than ID, but it's Hallowed. So, it's inevitable that they'll play it almost on every tour. Yesterday Bruce had a really good night and he nailed everything until the fast parts of Hallowed. Then, came Aces High and he was tired after that for Fear and Wasted. I hope he's that good for the rest of the show.
The MVP was Dave imo. He nailed everything.
Janick fucked up the Fear of the Dark intro which was funny and they made some other mistakes but I can't remember in which song.

Apart from the scream (which Bruce nailed), the song is definitely doable for Bruce. It’s got a pretty long instrumental piece, giving Bruce enough time to recover. This was the first night of the tour so we should see how they perform this in subsequent shows.

Hm, I wonder will they ever decide to play ID again after this tour? Because there's plenty of people that might not be able to see them live this year.

To be safe it would make sense to simply assume any of the 2023 and onwards deepcuts won't return again. CSIT, Alex, The Prisoner, now Infinite Dreams, and so on probably won't be seen again. But who knows, maybe they'll think "hey, we went through the trouble of relearning them anyway".

Honestly, I’d want them to start playing more songs from the Blaze era. Stuff like Man on the Edge, Lord of the Flies, Blood on the Worlds hands, Futureal, Educated Fool. They have gotta move on from clansman and sign of the cross.

Seriously. We already saw how well Futureal worked with Bruce. Those songs would help giving his voice a break as well, since most of them aren't that demanding for him.

I cannot wait for Charlotte (the Harlot?) Considering my love for Killers this is the definitive 80s setlist plus FOTD. For me this tops '18/'19 LOTB. Stoked they brought back Infinite Dreams as it's right up there as one of my all time favorite Maiden songs. I was lucky enough to see the 7th Son tour in 1988, so happy I will get to hear it again!

During aces high he tries to go trough the song until he reach the chorus. But its a really bad version of aces high if you compare to all previous tours. They should have chsnged it for ID. Lets see what he does at Paris with all the show been filmed.
Could someone give me a quick update on that Paris thing?: They announced to film the upcoming Paris show, or what's that?

He goes a bit high even higher than the album or live in 1988. And what about the scream even higher. But a very good live version for people in their 65-70s. Its amazing how good they still are and they are not on their best (obviously). Not many bands can say this at their age.

I've examined and inspected few recordings of Infinite Dreams.
I think Bruce does remarkably well here, if not even better than I had hoped. Really shining moment and glad to hear his current voice with the song.
I really don't have anything against anything, but I feel somehow that drums do sound a bit weak. I only have few live recordings from the first night (not isolated so can't hear all the things properly) against all the previous live recordings (1988 as you know) and isolated track featuring Nicko on the album. There's something off and I don't quite yet like it. Im not a drummer, but can someone explain or tell me how Simon plays things song in comparison Nicko?
Now thinking I really wish that they would have played this on the Maiden England World Tour as then it would have Nicko in good health, stamina and power.

As bruce said you cant expect nicko because he is not nicko. For me sounds more contundent and short sounding. Nicko was lighter but i dont know he filled the songs more. I havent olay the drums and i dont know anything about drums. But he sound more fat and short ( the sound)
