Ancient Mariner
Jan fucked up the FOTD intro.
Yeah, it was horrendous at the first few shows, where it was right before Fear and then moved up one song to be before TETMD. He was apparently sick too for a while on that leg, but for once recovered in time for En Vivo so we (thankfully) got some absolutely stunning professionally mixed performances from that tour.Wasn't The Talisman moved earlier in the set due to it's difficulty after the Moscow show? After that Bruce started nailing it.
He is. But i still miss the nicko pre stroke playing style. ID would have been even more amazing with him in 100% form.Is it just me or Simon is playing more comfortable than last year
Feasting on delicious crowWhere are all those whiny gits who insisted that they wouldn't change the setlist?

+ Rotam wasn't on a live album since 2009 flight 666, that's 17 yearsMurders in the Rue Morgue
Wrathchild
Killers
Phantom of the Opera
The Number of the Beast
Infinite Dreams
Powerslave
2 Minutes to Midnight
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Run to the Hills
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
The Trooper
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden
Aces High
Fear of the Dark
Wasted Years
Thanks to replacing The Clairvoyant with Infinite Dreams, the Paris live album (assuming the setlist stays the same, no reason not to) will feature 5 songs that have not been on live albums with the reunion line-up. Well, with Simon instead of Nicko now. Considering that this is a best of best-ofs tour and all the whining last year, that's almost as good a statistic as En Vivo, which had the 5 TFF songs plus Running Free, which hadn't been released officially by the reunion line-up at that point. Pretty neat actually.
Add Kill the King to that listDid they play Kashmir, Square Hammer and Wheels of Steel over the PA before the show?
Funny you bring up En Vivo, since I seem to recall one of main complaints about that tour's setlist and thus also the live album's was that it was incredibly uninspired since it was very similar to Rock in Rio besides the new songs and Dance of Death and Running Free (and with the interesting Blaze era songs cut). DotR and Flight 666 were both massively different setlist wise from RiR so I tend to agree the En Vivo set is quite bland even if the performances are stellar. On that basis, calling RFYL "almost as good" as En Vivo is quite telling.Murders in the Rue Morgue

Eh, while I agree that En Vivo was disappointing in its choice of songs, I think 5 songs that have not been released on a live album in over 25 years is a very good statistic for a best of the best-ofs tour.Funny you bring up En Vivo, since I seem to recall one of main complaints about that tour's setlist and thus also the live album's was that it was incredibly uninspired since it was very similar to Rock in Rio besides the new songs and Dance of Death and Running Free (and with the interesting Blaze era songs cut). It’s crazy to think there hasn’t been an official live recording of Phantom since the World Slavery Tour.Murders in the Rue Morgue

Yup. Charcoal burst, black hardware, 22 frets and the switch moved to the lower horn (one of his main complaints about the old Lados). Used on everything in standard tuning tonight.Adrian has a new lado? Any good pics of it?
Also En Vivo stage wasn't that impressive as well as the show itself. This one is on level with LOTB and songs by themselves are better on it.Eh, while I agree that En Vivo was disappointing in its choice of songs, I think 5 songs that have not been released on a live album in over 25 years is a very good statistic for a best of the best-ofs tour.
I've Got the FireAdd Kill the King to that list
