RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Those are probably the last European shows to be annousometingnced, it’ll probably be 22 dates but maybe 15 north america, 8 in latin america. The economy here is horrible, they might only hit the bigger markets and other countries, cities in LATAM they didn’t hit last year. Then after maybe stadium shows in Australia instead of 2 n

ights in arenas
They were overwhelmed by the enormous sales of the first European leg and just wanted to do the same next year. It would be OK if they announce the second leg for 2027, but one after one is too much. 22 shows in EU and 15 in N A doesn't make a big tour they've announced. 8 shows in SAm would give us 45 shows. Oceania and Asia aren't profitable after only two years after their last shows in this part of the world. So, we will see... I' d like to see Rod' s face nowadays:)

As I said previously, I wouldn't be surprised if they just start touring Europe except some festival dates outside of it in a few years time.

It seems that touring buissnes is having different financial approach in music industry nowdays.

EU & UK market is heavily added on map for every band. Eastern Europe is avoided due political reason and Balkan area is recently also avoided by most bands mostly due to financial reason.

N.America mostly aiming for big open air shows. S.America is still the same.
Few Middle East trip for making money, Far East and Australia unlikly for a lot of banda.

15 yrs ago was normal for a lot of bands to play in India or S.Africa. Now these locations are far away for bands.

SOAD on the other hand killed with tickets sales this and next year. It seems less shows and bigger venues are most profitable for the bands

SOAD is a very specific case IMO. No new music and very few shows in last few years due to internal politics (Serj wanting to do it as little as possible and Daron's ego, but the band knows that it could be only 4 of them and noone can replace anyone, so they changed their approach to the band).

"We are going to play countries we didn't visit this year".
*Added three countries they didn't already visit*

I don’t know, I think they’re going to go all out. Future Past 2024 was pretty extensive and nonstop everywhere, they said they have a very busy schedule and didn’t say that for 2024 to the point they said the year afterwards they’ll have off… who knows

The safer choice would have been to return to Europe in 2027. Sales in France for example would for sure be faster then.
No Maiden touring in 2027.

Yes, but this is their choice. Touring is not prohibited in 2027.

If sales would probably even be better in 2027 in Europe and the tour wouldn't be so long and less stressful, the only logical explanation for their plan is that they need/want the money now.

or they just want to finish with this tour and then record an album or something

Slow ticket sales are a result of the band not willing to change the show up one bit. I know some of my esteemed fellow board members are going again, but why would you pay more money to see a show that you have already seen? Fair play if you are up for that, but most fans will have caught them this year. Surely the repetition must be a driving force behind venues not selling out at lightning speed like last year.

I think the fact that so many shows are in areas that has already had the show is more of a factor than repetition of the show, we all know the show will be the same both years, it`s how they work as you allude to. It is strange that they are revisiting so many places they`ve already been to i have to say.

We are going to see it again mind you, tickets bought for Milan because to see Maiden in the San Siro is a bit of a bucket list thing for me and 12 months after seeing the show i will be able to enjoy it again , the event , the day not just the performance.

Let`s not forget this next leg could be the last time , we don`t know, but they will be along time retired so i will have one more go.:shred:

That's why I considered this unusual confirmation that there will be no tour in 2027 to also be part of the marketing strategy. Perhaps the assumption was same location/same show would then work?

You need a great amount of casuals to fill up a stadium of 40-60 000 seats. Fans, both nerds like us and your average co-worker who likes "not just Run to the Hills" are indeed interested in the setlist, but you need more people than that to fill up a huge arena. I'm not surprised they have problems selling tickets to casuals just a few months after they visited place previously. Remember, IM played Paris for two nights 19-20 July. That's still fresh. I don't know what they were expecting really.
