RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

The tour artwork strongly hints we'll get something from NPFTD, perhaps even the title track. Look at Eddie's left hand reaching out on the tour artwork and on the NPFTD album cover. Same concept like the album art.
Would make sense since they skipped most of NPFTD ever since. It's time.

Nah, last tour poster & 'songs from first 9 albums from iron maiden to fear of the dark' was false advertising. Show was great but I still feel disappointed by this. Either way - great that they are again on road in 2026 and I'm sure that there will be more dates in US. I'm interested if 2027 is 'vacation year' or they have some internal plans not related to touring.

I must admit, I didn’t like the fact they skipped NPFTD. I can see why they did, but it sucks.

I am surprised that they didn’t announce Download festival. Maybe the festival have moved on and the band want to spend their remaining years playing their own shows in the UK. I fully expect this to be the last Maiden tour. One off shows maybe beyond 2027, but I would say this is the last tour.

Unfortunately, I won't fall for that again. I wish it's true because it makes sense.

Btw, the colors of the poster are like a nod to Live At The Rainbow art.
Or it could be like last year Aus and Asia first, then into NA, finishing the year out with South America. But I guess that will depend if they have booked RIR for September.
I think they will want to play RIR. Probably without a live stream because of the already mentioned recording of the Paris show. This leg should be until October or November. Europe, SA, NA, Asia, Australia.

People are so obsessed with their retirement. Steve does not want a new album, 2026 is their last tour: Therefore the end of Iron Maiden?

Aha! A break from the road, not a break...

A break is something where you continue after. And, indeed, a break from the road. Interesting.

Notable things from the announcement:

- Live album to be recorded in Paris
- "Well deserved rest from the road in 2027"

I wonder if 2026 could be our final chance to see the boys on stage?
I think not. Why? Because they announced they're taking a break from the road, shared a new band picture with Simon, and still deliver live.

Now the whole announcement and dates of this tour feels like a last (major) tour (remember Bruce said they won't do a farewell tour, Steve isn't sure either), recording a show too, but I simply think they STILL don't have any plans after it, like Bruce said before. Or Nicko about future plans. That's why both years were given on the first tour poster. It's normal to think about that.

We ofc don't know if some of the band members want to retire (for me, that would be unacceptable and a mistake), rumors?.
But if the future is no new music, using the new stage set will the screens every time and doing small legs of a tour - what will they play, the same old songs again and again? It's kind of hard to see them playing different Reunion songs, 90's songs or rare songs from the 80's/all. Ofc who knows after this tour, but it's not that hard to guess. Especially a band that always says they don't want to be a cabaret act and are proud of their music.

They're taking a break from what they enjoy the most, but maybe that's because of age.

If it's Cardiff I am going.

Out of curiosity, I checked hotel prices for that night in Cardiff.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment. I very much doubt they'll change any of the songs in the setlist, and even if they were to do that there's no way they'll add a NPFTD song to the list. Even if I'd love that.
