Queensryche & Geoff Tate

I listened to some of the Amazon snippets. I could only dare to listen to one new song. It was bad. Almost Wot We Do level. The re-recorded tracks sound ass compared to the originals, I really don't get the point.
The point of the rerecordings is so that the label Cleopatra can put them on future releases and/or to generate some kind of interest in GT's Queensryche. It's a cash grab.

Also, Vap, you're understating it. The rerecordings sound ass compared even to the tone deaf drunken neighbour shouting "Jet City Woman" at 3 AM. :D

From Parker Lundgren's facebook:
Tune in to Sirius/XM Monday night at 7PM EST/4PM PST to Ozzy's Boneyard (Channel 38) or Eddie Trunk Live/Trunk Nation (Channel 39) to hear the full version of "Redemption" for the first time anywhere!
It'll be great to hear the full song!

Well it's not Operation Mindcrime... it wasn't terrible but it's certainly not amazing.

Personally I feel the voice sounds far too .. electric? at a lot of the time. Like it's coming through autotune or something.

It's odd. I feel like I'm listening to the B sides of 80's Queensryche, a song that never made it on an album. It's uncanny how much Todd LaTorre sounds like a younger Geoff Tate. Which in a sense is a problem, he has no personality of his own (purely sound-wise, don't know about live yet, but what I've seen live isn't promising). But at least it's better than GT's FU (although, is that really saying much?).

I enjoy PL quite a bit, but not as much as the albums before it. The songs that Chris DeGarmo helped write on Tribe are pretty good as well.

Ya, it is kind of sad. The sound that QR is going for is a metal album that sounds like a mix of the first EP throug PL. They want to make up for all the shit that tatertot did with them which made them lose a lot of their popularity.

First single from tatertot's FU:

It's actually a pretty good song and tatertot sounds decent on it. It's quite a bit better that DTC and K&T. It still doesn't really sound like QR instrumentally though.
