I like the song more and more with every listen. If this one is just an average track on the album, a great album is coming.

You honestly compare a single track to a whole album? Think how different The Devil's Orchard and Haxprocess sound from each other.

This new song is very straight forward and it's a single, so I wouldn't expect the rest of the album to sound the same way.

Just curious @Night Prowler, what are your favorite songs from Heritage?

Both "Cusp of Eternity" and "Eternal Rains Will Come" have grown significantly on me, huge expectations for the new album.

(Put on a different link in case you haven't noticed)

Watching it right now, it's classic "new" Opeth, both in terms of the setlist and performance (Lopez >>>>> Axe, Mikael's growls <<<<<).

Certainly they are scarier and more mood appropriate indoors. Festivals are for party bands. Opeth is not a party band.
Yea, and you can tell Mikael is having a hard time being a frontman to a party/festival crowd.

Didn't watch the video but it's a good setlist. All the highlights from last year's tour pretty much. The only thing missing is Ghost of Perdition.

Martin Lopez performs drums on Goblin and Voice Of Treason on the new album :yey: Hopefully this leads to a full reunion.

I'm debating whether to see Opeth this autumn, but it's a very difficult night of the week for me. Worth it or not, do you reckon?

Very worth it. Saw them last year, one of the best shows I've ever seen. They're remarkably tight live, but without sounding lifeless. Plus Mikael is a really entertaining frontman.
