...is far better live than on track.

If u wanted to see the classics then they spent 2 years touring on them during the somewhere back in time tour, tbh its great to see some of the new-er stuff being played again songs like paschendale and blood brothers are great songs along with the MOLAD songs all of which are awesome, no point in complaining about lack of classsics when u had two years to see them play the classics, i no i sure did and it was incredible and cant wait to see them play these new-er tracks and the NEW tracks!

I know it's my first post and all but just curious, if you have a TOUR thread that says SPOILERS in the title, is it not your responsibility not to visit the thread if you don't want things spoiled?  I mean the thread is virtually unreadable right now with all the spoiler tags.

I'm a bit disappointed by the setlist. I would have preferred Montségur, or Face in the Sand instead of that awful No More Lies song.
They should have also replaced Wildest Dreams with Afraid to shoot Strangers.

IN ALL FAIRNESS every other tour these guys do is a trip down nostalgia lane. They tour a new album HEAVILY then they do a tour where they play NOTHING but songs from the first four albums. Their very last tour was mostly a re-creation of the Powerslave tour.

So yeah, you're
not getting a greatest hits tour every single tour (that's a Kiss tour, by the way)....but you simply CAN'T accuse these guys of not playing a bit of everything. I suppose you should have seen them last go 'round....

I applaud it.

Don't like it...? Don't go. Guess what...they'll still sell 12,000 + seats even with you not there.

At least this band has the BALLS to play songs from all eras and do a GOOD job of alternating nostalgia tours and more of their most recent stuff. Most bands could learn a thing or two, curled up nice in their millenium series setlist snuggies.

Fuck that.

I agree with the sentiments a few posts above - whats the point in having a tour thread with spoiler tags every post? If people are stupid enough to read such a thread when they don't want spoilers like setlists, etc, thats their own fault.

I am agree with that, SBIT was focused on the old songs, like the World Slavery tour ( wich is my fav ) but this is playlist is not too bad at all.
I never dreamed that I will see Blood Brothers live or other songs from BNW. It was the first show when I see'em, it was Rock in Rio, and I was very impressed, especially by the blood brothers.
Whatever, you can't see each song you wan't and you can't acuse them for that.
I just wish they'll play transylvania cause the show I'm gonna go is in transylvania, very near from where I living.

Nor are they reduced to just a nostalgia circuit act because their creativity is dead...or because they simply refuse to release new material.  Even if you think the newest albums all suck beyond believe there's this:

1999 - Ed Hunter Tour
2003 - Give Me Ed til I'm Dead Tour
2005 - Eddie Rips Up the World Tour
2008/09 - Somewhere Back in Time World Tour

How anyone could complain about Maiden not playing their "classics" is beyond me. I could kind of understand being disappointed if it's your first Maiden show, but come on....
Also agree that spoiler tags in a thread that says SPOILERS in the title is a bit silly.  If you're that stupid to keep looking beyond the title and still don't want to be spoiled, then you're an idiot and require more than...

...a spoiler tag I'm afraid.

Opera Mobile 10 renders spoiler tags ok.

However, i also think that these heavy-spoiled threads are a pain in the ass to read. We have a problem with other view methods, as LC mentioned. This asks for nice & clean software tweak, something on the lines of modifying forum topic SQL table with an additional field of boolean type that discriminates between spoiled/non-spoiled thread. PHP code that dumps new replies on demand would also check that field, and it won't show that particular reply if the field is positive. This also requires adding additional checkbox in "Additional Options" area of post reply HTML page, that denotes spoiled topic. User would check the box if it contains spoilers. No spoiler tags would be needed then.

Also, if we create whole new forum category for spoiled topics, we can use this mod;

Love the set list as it's Maiden screaming to the whole world and naysayers that the band IS ALIVE. Nothing of old farting nostalgia selfparody. Wasn't expecting Blood Brothers, Wildest Dreams, but I'd put Rainmaker, Montségur and Out Of The Silent Planet instead of No More Lies, Wildest Dreams and These Colours Don't Run. Anyway, can't wait to get some bootleg DVD's.
