Out Of The Shadows is brilliant, so as Different World and The Pilgrim (started liking it a lot recently).

I'm talking about music. If you're used to think about the 'parts' of the guys in the bands you like, count me off this challenge, you sissy. This shows how poser you are - we're in this thread to talk about new Maiden and you come with AMOLAD. Bugger off, kid joke.

As far as this whole new song vs. AMOLAD thing goes, I still like the BTATS, TLD, FTGGOG, and The Legacy just a tad better than the new song. I love the new song, but I like those others just a bit more. :)

Well obviously I'm in the minority here but I'm not that impressed with the new song.By it being the first song released I hope it's not representing what the rest of the album is like. I'm sure it'll probaly sound better live and with the crashed and confused begining(is that strands of Wasted Years I hear) I could almost see them using this as the show opener

Yes, I was going to say that the intro reminded me of Metallica's Hit The Lights meets Wasted Years.

And as I recall you were the one who said it's better than AMOLAD, so who brought that album up?

The artwork reminds me of No Prayer.

Anyway why do I only get a Quicktime stream of the new song? I can't download that.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking at the artwork and I feel like it would actually be pretty good without the goofy looking Eddie. That has to be a new low, when an album cover looks better without Eddie. I'm sure if he were just drawn a different way without the dumb look on his face the album cover could be great, the same way the Dance of Death cover was saved by removing the CG people. The El Dorado artwork, on the other hand, looks awesome and perfectly captures the spirit of classic sci-fi.

I am getting a little bit of a Rust in Peace era Megadeth covering Powerslave vibe to it. Either that or a Paschendale/Barracuda mash-up. Either way this is the most excited I've been since hearing The Wicker Man for the first time.
