What a kick ass week! First we get a new Maiden song and then we get to see a team win the Cup. Congrats to the hawks its always fun seeing the reaction of the team after the game, especially an ot goal. I have to give a hand to the NHL for there commercials this year I think they did a great job.

Bettman getting booed never gets old either :lol:
 
I live in NY and saw Bettman on the street once (my office is 2 blocks from the NHL headquarters) and it took all of my might not to verbally abuse him.
 
It was rather anti-climatic with the arena going quiet not knowing if it went in or not, then the review, chicago not giving a shit and celebrating anyway, then getting the ok... Still Congrats to the Hawks, as much as I hated seeing Hossa get his Cup, fucking cup chaser, I'm glad for the Hawks, WAY overdue.

He was damn near unstoppable in this series. I really like watching him play, so here's to hoping he has continued success.

Notice how he astutely redirected the Philly crowd from booing him to cheering the Flyers?

Leighton knew the puck was in...shot that hard at the bottom of the net it makes a disguished "thunk" noise. Him sitting in the crease like thatwas a dead giveaway that it was a goal. Pretty soft one at that. Oh well...congrats to the 'Hawks on a well deserved Stanley Cup Victory.
 
I hope everyone saw what Burish said after the game. The reporter for CBC asked him what he thought of Pronger and he said "I think he's the biggest idiot in the league, I don't like the guy one bit" and proceeded to say he would punch him if he saw him after the game, all while smiling. It was pretty great.
 
Ho-LY SHIT.... I'm flabbergasted... Price better be what he is hyped up to be or Montreal will go up in flames.
 
The Blues just one the Lottery... seriously, With a goalie like that and the young D they are developing... I smell playoff run.

Not surprised about Niedermeyer hanging them up...he's been on the fence about that for a long time now. I just saw your link about Halak, LC I am in shock too. I think Bob Gainey is still trying to push the idea that he was right about Carey Price.
