Glad I wasn't the only one relieving EA NHL glory days :) Not to mention watching him win both cups with Colorado. He's succeeded in other leagues so I am eager to see how he can turn this club around.

Not surprisingly the Pens finally decide to flex some muscle and destroyed the Senators in the last two games to move on. Boston can do the same tomorrow... looking forward to a Pen-Bs eastern final. Speaking of EA NHL, my brother and I played it ALL the time. He's team was the pens and mine the bruins. He would ALWAYS win the presidents trophy AND art ross (Lemieux), but we always met in the playoffs and I beat him three season in a row and won the cup those three seasons with the bruins. The one season he finally beat me, I still won the cup with Detroit! LOL...

I'm worried about the Hawks :(, They need to get their shit together. I want a Hawks-Pens remath, not a Wings-Pens rematch, grrr.
 
Way to go Hawks ... great comeback from being down 3-1 and winning in OT after being totally jobbed by the refs in regulation.
 
I'll be pulling for the Hawks, and I think they can win, but they will have to really battle to make through LA

First time since 1945 and second time EVER. Not to mention Detriot (winner in '08) was in the Western Conference Finals ;)

As much as I love my bruins I want a Pen v. Hawks rematch. If I can't have that I'll be happy with a Kings v. Bruins so the Kings have a shot at repeating.
 
Yeah! Go Bruins! HAHA! I know it's only game one, but a 3-0 victory against Pittsburgh?! MUAHAHAHAHA! shame I can't catch the games, because I'm at work, but it was great news to come home to. Looks like the Kings-Hawks series is also living up to expectations :)
 
I was surprised by the Boston Game .. not even so much that they won, but how they won. Game 2 of the Hawks/Kings back to back starting in a few hours, Game 1 was fun, hoping for more of the same tonight (and a 2-0 lead)
 
The people that live behind us are

1) Big Pittsburgh fans (all sports .. though they seem to neglect baseball for some reason .. could be the 20 years of sucking)
2) Two of the biggest assholes I have ever come across ... they are outside all the time and gradually get more and more drunk and obnoxius and play shit music louder and louder. I damn near called the cops on them a few nights ago ... The woman .. she has the kind of voice that just makes you want to punch her in the face repeatedly.

So, I hope it is Chicago versus Pitt and the Hawks fucking kill them and I'll be playing Chelsea Dagger on infinite repeat hoping the come into my yard so I can drown them in my pool in self defense ... fucking assholes ...

So, considering they just got their asses spanked... AGAIN (MUAHAHAHA) by the Bruins they might not even get to enjoy a cup final defeat :D

Wow. Mandatory visors for next season... I'm surprised it came so soon. Obviously, like helmets back in the day, veterans opting not to wear them are grandfathered in.

On top of that hybrid icing to be test driven in the pre-season, that should be interesting.

And last but not least, the recommendation of shallower nets for players to have more room as well as the eternal crusade on goalie equipment.

Don't mind the cracking down on equipment, but shallower nets? They already pushed them forward 3 feet... good god, players have not gotten that big since 1950...
 
Huge win tonight to take a 3-1 edge with Keith out and ideally we will not see Brookbank again this series.
 
Boston Chicago is a good matchup.
I suspect the Bruins will have more left in the tank.
 
Boston has had a tough road to where they are, I am hoping Pitt pulls game 4 out though. Chi will have home ice.

Chicago beat L.A... We got ourselves a match... Let's see if Boston can dismantle Chicago like they did with Pittsburgh! GO BRUINS! MAUAHAHAHA

Vancouver thought the same thing... this is a marathon not a sprint. Just like the series against Vancouver, Boston dominated. Chi got a lucky break with the Oduya goal, so... don't expect that every game ;)
