NOW WATCHING

I haven't been following Terriers at all thinking it would be a stupid show, I caught one by accident the other night... I was pleasantly surprised, it's actually a good show.

Saw Dinner for Schmucks last night. Not as good or as funny as I thought it would be. In fact it is flat out painful in a few instances. Classic protagonist sees the errors of his ways and comes around comedy. Still enjoyable, but far from a must see.

Dinner for Schmucks was a bit of a let down, it had some good moments, but I wish I has gotten it from Netflix versus seeing it in the theater.
I watched one of my all time favorite movies, Shadow of a Doubt this morning, terrific film, great plot, acting and suspense.  Plus I lived in the town where it was filmed (Santa Rosa, CA) for a while, the house and neighborhood where they lived is still there and looks fairly unchanged as does the rail station and soem of the downtown buildings, others are vastly different or just gone thanks to a mall.

The Walking Dead

It's on a cable network, where all the best shows are. It's based on a comic book series. And it's post-apocalyptic zombie horror thing.

How can this not be good?!

I'm really starting to like AMC... I haven't seen anything about this series, but just because it's on that channel I'm going to check it out.

OUtside of the Prisoner mim-series, their stuff has been quite good.  Mad Men and Rubicon have been great.  I need to catch up with Breaking Bad.

Just watched this online the other day and its really well done. They dont drag anything out, the zombies dont look cheep and they seem to cover alot of aspects of a zombie apocalypse.

As for what happens in the first episode all I'll say is poor horse :(

Anchorman, The Legend Of Ron Burgundy.

There at least 2 characters out of this film in the Top 100 of Empire's list, so I thought it could be a decent comedy...
To be continued in 1:30:15

Hahaha not bad at all and that Christina Applegate sooo cute!!
I liked a lot the surrealistic moments of the movie, with best being the Pleasure Town scene
Really good time I had, but c'mon... Two characters inside 100 Greatest Movie Characters list??
I better fix my own!

One of the best comedies ever. LOVE IT! Recently bought the Rich Mahogany edition on blu ray with the " Wake Up Ron Burgundy" feature. Fucking amazing :)

I saw Polansky's Ghost Writer.

A suspenseful Hitchockian thriller. We follow a ghost writer, the anonymous writer of the ex-UK Prime Minister's memoirs. But he gets into a dangerous spot when he finds out about his predecessor's discoveries.

The film won't be popular in the US because -apart from the maker itself- there's direct criticism on the US and it shows a bad side of the country, but as a film, and story and the way it is shot, it's a thrill from start to finish.
