I'm looking to check that show out, as well, but I'm too far into my Game of Thrones obsession to start a new show yet.
I saw it last week. Very entertaining, a very 80s atmosphere throughout, which I found nice. It somehow gives off strong Stephen King-ish vibes, so I'd recommend it.Heard good things about Stranger Things and that it's supposed to be mimicking the style of 80s Spielberg, Stephen King etc. Will be watching first episode tonight!
Saw the red ones; the last two in the cinema.Cried's Saturday viewing...
Watched Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016) earlier...
Then Interstellar (2014)...
And more Matt Damon in The Martian (2015)...
Later still Midnight Special (2016). What an interesting film...
Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game (2014)...
And finally the other Affleck in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
I haven't read the book; don't know much about it or the author Andy Weir. The film was pretty slick & decent enough, but not really what I'm interested in. I liked Midnight Special the most. It had a nice feel to it; good atmosphere.Saw the red ones; the last two in the cinema.
I remember that you were being pretty dogmatic about films (adaptations) being (almost?) never as good as the original work. Have you read The Martian (the book)? I haven't read it but a collegue of mine was very positive. I wonder what you think of it. Recommended!
I'm not that interested in the film...And also since you both saw the movie, check this out:
