It's very Stephen King-ish.

Main characters are kids. There are supernatural monsters and someone with telekinetic powers, as well as a shady government agency. Only thing missing is Maine :P

I'm just about to start episode 5. They struck gold with all these child actors. They are all brilliant. Also music is fucking amazing. And by that I mean both the songs used and the score by S U R V I V E. I still didn't figure out the mystery.

I watched this excellent movie yesterday called Whiplash from 2014. About a young jazz drum student and his instructor at a prestigious music conservatory. Should be an interesting film for everyone but perhaps mostly musicians (and especially drummers) but also jazz interested :) @Mosh , @Forostar ...and others :)

Great movie, but would not recommend it for anyone looking for a realistic depiction of jazz in schools.

Now half-watching Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) - actually, my wife put it on to have a background for ironing and I'm listening to it. I think I still rather like it, but to me, it's probably the least re-watchable Allen movie (or at least one of such). No, it's not bad, just not giving me pretty much anything second time around and I'm not used to that with him.

Stranger Things ending
Dammit I wanted Mike and El to go to that Snowball together :(

At least it's implied she's still alive somewhere, Hopper left an Eggo in that box in the middle of the forest, it has to be for her.

Saw the red ones; the last two in the cinema.

I remember that you were being pretty dogmatic about films (adaptations) being (almost?) never as good as the original work. Have you read The Martian (the book)? I haven't read it but a collegue of mine was very positive. I wonder what you think of it. Recommended!

I haven't read the book; don't know much about it or the author Andy Weir. The film was pretty slick & decent enough, but not really what I'm interested in. I liked Midnight Special the most. It had a nice feel to it; good atmosphere.

Just finished the third season of BoJack Horseman. I can't say enough good things about this show. If you haven't watched it, you're seriously missing out!
