Nicko doesn't even have an adviser who explained the possible reasons for his stroke to him. Stress can be a trigger but certainly not the cause.
 
He's been getting trains for years, though. There's pics around of him on a local train in the South East from at least a decade ago, and he was whizzing about on the Metro then too.

At a guess, hes quit the fuel guzzling jets now though!

Something to share with you, guys... Just found another band from the late 70s where Mr. McBrain played! Drummer joined a rock/new wave group called The Volunteers for a very short period: May to June '79. After that they disbanded.

They managed to record their only single with him, called "If You Ain't Scared". Musicians are: Rob Jacob (voc, gtr), Kevin Smith (gtr), Pat Martin (b, voc), Ken Baker (gtr, key, voc), Nicko McBrain (dr). Nicko then played briefly in the first incarnation of Marshall Fury and then went to join McKitty.

Nobody in the picture looks like him, but from the drum sound we can hear, it's plausible that's him. ;)
