Nicko McBrain retires

Awesome. But did they record this show or something? There were quite a few video angles here. The photographer who shot them from behind could be a very nice live album/video cover
I hope they did! They always have cameras going at gigs nowadays for online content, but I don't necessarily see any indication of a full video production. Also, wouldn't the fans be notified at the gates that they were being filmed for a release?

There are at least 5-6 songs that were great at Sao Paulo #2.

What should be noted is that Janick dropped doubling the Wasted Years riff at the end as him and H had problems with timing of it throughout the tour. So they were extra careful with that one. That leads me to believe they might release at least Wasted Years.

Maybe not the concert video capturing the whole show (but why not) but they may use soundtracks from two SP nights to compile an interesting live album.

I was going to say it's not like that's too hard to fix in post even if they screw up the timing, but then I realized it's just going to be a straight soundboard mix again if they do release it.

The sad news are the last two months we have lost two iron maiden classic members. Paul dianno RIP
Nicko retires from playing live.

Ive been a fan since 1990 si its nearly 35 years. A lot of time to see them getting old.

There sure are bad takes on dreaming. They are called nightmares :p. Maiden without Steve would certainly constitute a nightmare.

I will agree with that. I pictured the Bruce generated shitstorm immediately. Especially if Steve left like that and it lasted more than it should.
We need to add some controls.

Let me rephrase my dream. Steve leaves Maiden in a controlled way, like takes a period off and gives the reigns to Bruce for an album or two. Or even remains in the band as a musician and contributor but relinquishes the leadership to someone else.
It could be agreed as a one off experiment.

Bruce without Steve is just Bruce Dickinson Solo.
The rhythm section here sounds a bit robotic, but it makes a wild difference to have someone who can actually sign to perform the backing vocals for you:

If only Mr Harris would let him do this sort of thing again...

If Maiden wanted better backing vocals, they could do it like they did with keyboards.

In fact, Colin Price, Dave's tech is a great singer. He sang Feed My Frankenstein with Alice Cooper when they opened for Maiden in 2011 (after Alice was chased offstage by the Frankenstein) and I actually saw him singing backing vocals when he was working as a tech with Nathalie Imbruglia in 2015.

They should have done it this year on HCW, because when H dropped out with BV's and Bruce started chatting with Edward, it was only Steve on oh oh oh's and it wasn't pretty.

But, they don't want to.

I love steves backing vocals. Had a bootleg of wildest dreams from earls court 2003. Steve's "I'm on my way" was hilarious, I'm assuming it wasn't Adrian that sounded bad
