Nicko McBrain retires

Doesn't Linda identify as female? Then it would be very impolite of Rod to say Iron Maiden always gets their man.
It could also be a simple expression used to describe that managers and Steve found the right drummer and it doesn't necessarily mean that the drummer is a man... Aren't people here using the word "guys" as an expression to encompass both men and women that are members of the forum sometimes ?

We've got the receipts already.

Ok, but I think they knew about Nicko's retirement before announcing the new ''50th anniv'' tour. I also think it was mutual.

True. But I think they will because of the huge change.

He already said that a few years ago.

Good points, but would Steve want to record in the studio with another drummer?

They are not ready to retire, the thought of semi-retirement should be out of the question now. I still can't believe they replaced a band member from this lineup and especially now, although it's best for Nicko. They won't do it again.

A new (younger, not Simon Dawson) drummer will bring energy, but I wouldn't call it a new age for the band. Nicko's groove is the key. I'm not sure if the band will want to write new music now, although it's kind of expected, even with the new drummer.

This.

I think that's inevitable, but let's see.

I guess so, but they have enough time.

100%!

Same.

Yeah...

Probably.

Indeed.

Don’t quote ten posts just to add moronic one word replies, fucking hell.

It's a shame that the new drummer is not Justin McBrain. Could have been a better choice. Because of the fact that he could have embodied the novelty in continuity...
