New posters! Who are you?

I obviously don't know where you are now, but do you get wrongly labelled a 'Geordie' all the time? Having said that, Janick's from Durham and I think he sounds just like Alan Shearer.

Yes! My usual custom title on here is 'Work Geordie' for that reason. Janick has quite a strong accent, but he's from Hartlepool.

Hello. Long time Maiden fan (7th Son ftw), new poster here. New album kicks ass even though I think they could have been bit more judicious with the old razor blade. Still I really like it and it sits worthy with the best of the band.

Thank you.

Hey there.

My name is Kyle. I'm 21 and I live near Chicago. Unfortunately I didn't discover Maiden until pretty recently. It was December of 2008 and I bought The Essential Iron Maiden collection on a whim and was blown away from the first song. (Paschendale)

That also means that this is the first time that I've ever had to wait to listen to a new album and the wait is KILLING ME.
This was my introduction from 5 years ago! it can be found all the way back on page 31. I originally joined during the time right before The Final Frontier was released, and then I promptly disappeared. This time I plan on actually sticking around. The only thing that has changed is that I'm now 26, and I'm quite familiar with all the works of Iron Maiden. (Also, It was actually December 2007 when I first discovered the band, but who's counting?:p)

Hey guys, first post here. Just signed up today.

Relatively new Iron Maiden fan too, just started listening regularly about four months ago. Since then I've managed to get digital or physical copies of every album, and have been listening non-stop. There's hardly a song that isn't awesome!

Anyway, joined here to chat with some fellow fans and like-minded individuals. Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome, guys! Yeah, Brigantium, I've had a couple of giant listening sessions now; the latest being every studio album in order, with some bonus tracks. Roughly 17 hours of glorious metal. Luckily I'm allowed to have headphones on at work - sure makes the day better.

Is there any thread suited to post your "story" about how and when you got into Maiden, or metal in general? I'd love to post my own experience, and read others'.

Hey!

My name is Murilo, 26 years old.

I'm from Brazil (which explains my bad english) and I have a Business Management Bacharelor. Now I'm doing a Finance and Controlling Specialization.

My first Iron Maiden record was Fear of the Dark when I was 12, reason why I love this album and can not understand all those negative ratings to it. My favorites Iron Maiden songs are Phantom of the Opera, Powerslave and Hallowed Be Thy Name. My favorite album is Powerslave.

My hobbies includes play guitar, compose songs, read books, watch movies and watch soccer (football, whatever). Talking about soccer, I support my hometown team: Criciúma Esporte Clube. Unfortunetaly now we are at the second division of the brazilian league.

I'm glad to be here with you guys from all around the world sharing opinions, informations and experiences about my favorite band.
