I'm more interested in this post:

"'new masterpiece'. More like too progressive shit with one or two good songs. They won't release any masterpieces, like old Maiden albums.. Only Brave New World was great of all those post-90s albums.."
I messaged that person as well. Maybe since they don't like it very much, they won't mind giving it up. :D Just when my insane level of excitement was going to a normal level!

Well it sounds too typical, there are people who are saying these stuff since Brave New World,so this isn't something new. I will just ignore and judge the album by myself.

There are people who are saying this stuff since The X Factor. That comment is visibly of some troll or those boring revisionist fans of the 80's. I'm an old fan of the 80's, but not like those whinning morons.

No guys, I wasn't thinking he had TFF, I was just pissed because he was shooting down the new material. I think if you can't appreciate the new stuff, you're not a real fan.

Anyone who complains about Maiden's new material since Bruce rejoined hasn't been a fan of Maiden since 1988. Just like all the people who whine that they haven't heard Run to the Hills performed live for the 1,332,498th time. I'm glad they're not writing 4 minute songs anymore. I say bring on the epics. More Maiden = more fun for me. Besides, I'm sure one of the reasons the albums are becoming longer is because they have three guitarists, hence more solos, writing, etc. Maiden rules and anyone who keeps asking for Powerslave all over again should tell me where he is so I may punch him in the balls.

They guys who says it's not a new masterpiece does not have it.  Notice he uses the word "won't" not the word "doesn't".  He's just a guy who doesn't like new Maiden material.

It's their right to want to hear old material and complain so it's just as much my right to toss the poop back in their direction. Poser Maiden fans simply get to me. I'm just as critical about some of their stuff as the next guy, but it's been almost 10 years since BNW and any "hit" they try to write doesn't match the older stuff anyway so now they're in progressive stage.

And if they DID make albums like the 80's, people would complain about them not evolving.

What's so funny about the guys who only like old school Maiden (which of course is fine, I grew up with old school and love the new stuff too, but to each his own), is they don't realize if Maiden was putting out albums like Powerslave now they would be a joke and would not have the success they are currently having.  They would be looked at as a bunch of guys who despite being 25 years older hadn't grown musically, lyrically, or even as individuals.  They would just be a bunch of 50 year dudes who were stuck in the 80's.  Thank goodness that's not the case or Maiden wouldn't have lasted this long after the reunion and we wouldn't be here anticipating a new album.

Ya, you're gonna get whiners no matter what. Same with their setlists. What I don't like are the ones who say "That's how I feel and if you don't like it then fuck you". And that goes about old stuff, new stuff, Playing all of AMOLAD, doing a tour and playing mostly older material, but if someone says "I can't stand what they're doing, but if you like it, that's great", then that's fine. Then you're respecting other's opinions.

Then how the hell is AC/DC still doing it? Hell, even their concerts have the same old bits over and over and over again. The bell during Hell's Bells, Angus mooning the crowd, the canons during For Those About To Rock. Yes, Maiden have Eddie, but at least they always have a different one.

I'm just a grumpy Maiden fanboy by default. I have constantly defended them to my Limp Bizkit loving wife for seven years, dude.

Well, just be careful how you display your grumpiness around here. You don't want the ban hammer to come crashing down. :)

Yeah but their fans also stuck with them. They just wan`t to see Angus doing the tapping part on Thunderstruck, sing along I`m on a Highway To Hell, banging rhythmical to the beat of Back In Black and see Brian hanging on a giant bell.

That is a damn good question, and Kiss pulls it off too, as does Aerosmith.  They just put out the same album over and over and the fans love it.  But at the same time I would guess the average age of fans at those shows is 35-45.  The Maiden audience keeps getting younger and younger, except for my 60 year old dad who despite being a classical and opera guy decided after 27 years of his son being a Maiden fan that he wanted to see what is was all about and asked me to get him a ticket to the MSG show last month which I did.  He had a blast.
