NECA Iron Maiden Figures

Not sure if you all know, but the next two figures to be released this year are the Piece of Mind Eddie and the 2 Minutes to Midnight Eddie.

Pictures are here.

Not only that, but I asked Randy Falk at NECA regarding what variations of Eddie he would like to make into figures next and he said the following are planned.

- Aces High Eddie
- Steve Harris Bass Player Eddie
- Clairvoyant Eddie

Pretty sure we will also be seeing Eddie figures from Killers, Phantom of the Opera, and Stranger in a Strange Land as well.

Just wanted to update this page. I've been talking to Randy over the course of the last few months and he has hinted on what he wants to do for the future of the Retro Iron Maiden Figure line if it continues to sell well.
We all know he's like to do Aces High Eddie, Bass Player Eddie, and Clairvoyant Eddie. But with The Book of Souls now out, a lot of people have been speculating on the idea of newer Iron Maiden figures. A lot of people have been posting on the NECA Twitter page asking about the possibility of both a Book of Souls Eddie, with the white paint and Mayan get-up, and a Speed of Light Eddie, a figure that would portray our favorite mascot as he looks during the 8-bit scene in the music video. NECA loves doing Classic Video Game figures and characters as they appeared in the games. They've done so with characters like Godzilla, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, Batman, Predator, Alien, Rocky, and many others. Not only that, but NECA loves Iron Maiden! So a Speed of Light Eddie, with a stylized paintjob would seem like a match made in heaven for this company to do.

What do you all think? Would you like to see figures of Book of Souls Eddie and Speed of Light Eddie? Let us know!

Book of Souls Eddie would translate really well, although I'd much prefer they go back to the pre-fabric clothes figures like the Live After Death, Phantom of the Opera, Somewhere in Time, etc. figures, and wish they spent the money on factory quality control for the paint apps like they did pre-Iron Maiden/Killers/Final Frontier figures. I am, however, looking for those three figures for a decent price (prices are starting to get a bit nutty on some of the older ones), mainly to complete the collection and probably do my own paint apps.

The "digital creature" Eddie from Speed of Light would be cool too, but possibly tough to execute.

I really hope they do a Mayan Eddie from the Book of Souls artwork while it's still fresh. The Video Game Eddie from SoL Music Video shouldn't be too hard for Neca because they do those kind of figures all the time and they're really cool and stylized. if they do any of those, I will be super happy. Still I just hope they eventually do a classic "Killers" Eddie, "Stranger in a Strange Land" Eddie, and "Clairvoyant" Eddie as well.

Book of Souls Eddie is probably the one Eddie figure I wouldn't hesitate to go out and buy. I don't have any of the others, but I'd seriously like that one.

I got a Powerslave Eddie for my birthday ... really nice. It came with 2 heads and the mummy cloth was really nice.

I have The Trooper Eddie, which is freaking awesome. I still need to pull the trigger on the "Piece of Mind" and "Powerslave" Eddie.

Just spoke with Randy from NECA. He wants to do a "Book of Souls" Eddie figure as soon as time permits him to do so. He also says the "Aces High" Eddie is at the top of his list so that one will most likely be the next one revealed along with either the "Killers" Eddie or the "Clairvoyant" Eddie (two variants NECA has said they want to do retro figures of). Hopefully those will be revealed at Comic Con.

More from the "clothed" line, I take it? So far passing on those have been pretty easy for me, since I've never been big on those types of figures. The clothes just don't hang naturally on them (or hang at all, for that matter, since they're doll clothes), so I tend to stick with figures with sculpted clothes. Just looks better to me, but it's cool that a lot of people seem to be digging these new ones to the extent that the line is continuing. If they do a Book of Souls Eddie, I might have to give that one a look, though, since it's just in a loincloth. Depends on how the body sculpt is, I suppose.

Really wish the old NECA line was still going though. The LAD, Phantom, PoM and SiT figures were all excellent. The ones that followed were less so due to quality control in their paint apps, but I still want to finish out that collection too (just need to find debut album Eddie and Final Frontier for a decent price).
