Metal with female vocals

Various people from the Dutch metal scene (with lots of female singers!) did a cover of "The Power of Love", trying to collect money for the Red Cross.

I'm just saying... why don't we have separate Within Temptation, Epica, After Forever etc. threads?

I've been wondering - isn't this thread kind of sexist?

It is if you think about it. Depends if you think 'female fronted' counts as a sub-genre. Most seem to be symphonic and could justifiably go in a thread for that.

I think that if female singers just watched the video I posted and changed their behaviour appropriately, then Maidenfans threads would treat them equally and there wouldn't be any more sexism towards them.

To be honest, you have point. Perhaps these bands do not have enough appeal seperately (out here) to get enough feedback/attention. I do think that some of these bands deserve their own topic (actually, there is an Epica thread somewhere).

To me, "female-fronted metal" is a genre. There's an element to the sounds of these bands you don't get elsewhere. The sound of the female voice is different from most metal and worthy of discussion. Not saying we couldn't have other threads about these bands too, but I've personally never thought about these bands in a sexist or gender context.

That's an incredibly bad album name. Still excited, though!

Also, here's the album cover:

Kind of nondescript. Reminds me a bit of DT's Train of Thought.

If you consider "Forms Most Beautiful" as an entire subject, it could be correct. If it's Endless Forms, Most Beautiful...then that makes no fucking sense. Seriously, are they trying to out-Sabaton Sabaton here?

How can "Forms Most Beautiful" be an entire subject? That in itself already makes no sense.
The way I get it, "forms" is supposed to be a verb here, "endless" is the subject and "most beautiful" an adjective. The problem is, "endless" does not work as a noun (if anything, they should use "eternity"), and the object is missing. What does it form? Gah!
