Yeah its about time that one went, If only Youthanasia was next; it's easily the second worst Megadeth album.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised to see So Far... going in the last round. I've always seen it as a very underrated album, though the production on it could certainly be better...

My votes for this round:

Countdown
Youth
Cryptic

I find it to be an incredibly inconsistent listen. In My Darkest Hour and Mary Jane are excellent; STWOF and Hook in Mouth are solid, too. But the rest is really weak (at least to my ears). The album being book-ended by arguably the band's two strongest releases doesn't help it, either.

I think we know what album is going to win. It would have been better to run a survivor to determine the second best Megadeth album.

"Rust In Peace" is probably going to win, but my fave Megadeth album is Peace Sells... xD

This survivor made me realize that there are not a whole lot of "very good" Megadeth albums. There are just three albums that I'd give at least 4/5.

Megadeth is one of those bands that has some good songs on every album, but with the exception of RIP and maybe Countdown, no particularly strong albums.

That's why SC is the worst one I think: it doesn't even have a good song.

Megadeth certainly have certainly been very sloppy and inconsistent post-Countdown but they remain one of my favourite bands because their good stuff is awesome and they're amazing live. :)

Megadeth is a Top 10 band for me as well, which made the observation all the more interesting and refreshing.
