Mastodon

I didn't know this site. I'm happy I didn't check before, it would have ruined the surprises. I'm sorry you can't see them. Anyway, last year, I was fearing they would break up or slow down because of Brent's behaviour and addictions, but he looks perfectly fine, so we are going to get many occasions to see them again. And they look like very nice chaps, which doesn't hurt.

I am! Paris, Feb. 13th. I was actually looking for the setlist yesterday evening, and it wasn't posted yet. Quite impressive, and very different from the last tour's, which is great. I'm really happy to see them, but I think I was even more excited to see that Mutoid Man are opening: I love this band.

No, I had not. It was my earnest intention to do so, though. Much more for Kvelertak, if Im honest. Mastodon have never clicked with me.

I saw Kvelertak open for Metallica in 2017 and enjoyed them a lot. I have been enjoying Mastodon a lot more recently but my local show is so near I havent bothered with it

I was able to see them twice in a seven month span and I did not regret it. Even got to see them open with The Last Baron on one of the shows. That setlist from last night is epic. You should definitely go Phantom.

I really want to go to Seattle. It’s two days after my Judas Priest concert though, but it should be doable.
It depends if my roommate wants to go though.

Wasn’t interested until I heard they’re doing all of Crack the skye. Might have to check it out

That's what sells it for me. Crack the Skye is my favorite album. In the two shows I've went to I've been lucky enough to hear most of the album (Oblivion, Divinations, Ghost of Karelia, Last Baron) but I think witnessing 'The Czar' live makes it all worth while. And if you haven't seen Mastodon live, you should. They're one of the best live bands I've seen.

I'm tempted to go to the Baltimore show, but I just bought two Maiden tickets the day before this announcement and my year's concert budget is affected because we bought a house. I love me some Mastodon though, probably my favorite band right behind Maiden and they put on a helluva show!
