Maiden England '88 + History Part 3 coming March 25th!

On the DVD I have, he still says "fucking". I'm watching it right now and I just went back to double check and he definitely says it pretty clearly.

Really?! My copy of the DVD has "you fucking die", you can even see Bruce while he's singing it... Is it muted, bleeped? You're talking about the last line that's sung just before Adrian's solo, right?

Really enjoyed both dvds. Brilliant!

My only gripe would be that the documentary could have been longer, and also the fact that they didn't repeat the extras section in the way they did the previous 2 history dvds i.e No stills gallery and no Tour Programme galleries. I bought the SIT programme back in the day, but was hoping to see the SSOASS tour programme on this dvd. Strange that they dropped this as an extra feature.

Hmmmm....my DVD is region 0 (i.e. region free). My wife and I both noticed the change - but it is possible that we both misheard it (only watched the concert DVD once so far). I am starting to doubt myself now - I will rewatch over the weekend and update. If it is cut the I will try to do a wee upload to YouTube :-)

On an unrelated note - I've always wondered what the line "Mr. Dave Murray on the pink oboe" meant... Anyone have a clue?

Okay, I know the slang meaning of "pink oboe", I should have added it in the first place in order to avoid the innuendo :D

For my one thousandth post I will say something worthwhile.

I just finished watching the Maiden England DVD and the first thing I'd like to say is that it was cool to watch the 1988 concert and that it gives me an idea of what to expect in June! It was quite weird to hear Bruce talk about playing in Edinburgh though. Secondly, and this is my main point, whose idea was it to have the interview clips in the history documentary in little boxes that don't even take up a quarter of the screen? Instead of watching the band and Rod talking I was subjected to a picture of Eddie or of Nicko playing the drums while the interviewee was shoved into the corner. What an awful idea. There were some great stories there (the inflatable middle finger and Bruce's wardrobe) and the documentary ended on a cliffhanger but I have been left very frustrated by the editing/appearance of the documentary.

Me too. What's wrong with having the band members entirely on screen and IN COLOR? Why those background effects when all I want to see are the guys when they're talking? Nicko almost disappeared in this documentary...

I really can't understand what happened with the direction. Part 1 and 2 were just perfect.

Yeah that was a bad idea. The images on the screen while the interviews are in the corner doesn't fit in anywhere either. The background features Number of The Beast Eddie and it says Iron Maiden Live After Death
