Only 1 vote for Great Unknown. ;) Fallen Angel should ideally be up against Shadows Of The Valley.

Seeing as it's basically the same song :innocent:
 
A couple switches could've caused a very different result for me. For example, The Nomad got incredibly lucky going against Shadows of the Valley, my least favorite song from both albums (obviously not counting Apparition). The Red and the Black and Speed of Light may have also won against several of the songs in BNW's middle/back half.

I like both songs, but prefer 'The Mercenary'.

Yeah, they had three attempts at repeating the Wicker Man formula and never got it anywhere near as good. Even if I do have a soft spot for TFF (I'm classing S15 as an extended intro for the purpose of this discussion).

Eternity was fresh and has a lot of clout to it. It was a 'chicken skin' moment, as Mr Foro put it. :D

Again, I like both songs but voted for 'The Wicker Man'. It was a tough choice though.
 
Mercenary and When the River Runs Deep was a tough one. Both really strong short rockers. Mercenary is a bit more energetic and has better vocals which factored into my decision.

I'm very surprised to see such big a support for When the River Runs Deep. I thought majority of us don't like it. It could possibly be the worst reunion song to me.

This was tough. I had the hardest time picking between TBOS and Dream of Mirrors, but nostalgia won that one for me.

Gates of Tomorrow is a decent song. I like it quite a bit. Definitely much more cohesive than WtRRD and has a great solo section (with a sweet interlude). I also dig the doubled verse vocal line. The chorus isn't half bad either.
