This and Darkest Hour are both pretty great if you ask me. My top 5 are the final four songs + LIALW.I love this song.
Alright, everybody has their favorite unpopular Maiden song and I guess this is mine. To me, this song is pretty comparable in quality to the other Harris epics on the album. I get big X Factor vibes, but it's everything I like about X Factor PLUS the added bonus of Bruce on vocals. I love that this song is trying stuff. The psychedelic backing vocals toward the beginning are so hypnotic. I know a lot of people aren't crazy about that outro verse, but I think it's great. I love the winding melody and Bruce's delivery. The editing is a little sloppy but I still like the part. The chorus is immense and I dig Steve's lyrical message. It's not at the level of the epic trilogy at the end but it's close. 9.

A really emotional song with its TXF vibe - and this is its greatest strength. Beautiful intro and outro (some of Maiden's best imo). The main crushing riff is great, the verses have a good urgent feel, the pre-chorus is emotionally needed with its vocals and guitar meldoy. The chorus is probably the weakest, but still good. As expected, the instrumental section have cool melodies, riffs and drumming, but ofc it could have been a bit shorter. Both solos are good, especially the tone of Adrian's one. The long note from Bruce before the outro is a good idea. Nicko drives the song with the groove. 8/10

I like the other three Harris songs on the album but this one is just.. nothing.
I don't notice on the others but this one I really do when it's just strumming the same old chords again, the riffs are also just... Nothing. Old hat.

There was huge potential here, but it gets lost in the mess. Beautiful intro and outro, but the verses are uninspired and the chorus could easily have been dropped. The pre chorus could have been good, but Janick crashes completely with Bruce. The instrumental part is fine.
