The Games have already started... and a blunder happened today: South Korean flag for North Korea!

The North Korean women's football team have walked off the pitch at their Olympic match in Glasgow after their images were shown on a screen beside a South Korean flag.

Any sports people are looking forward to in particular?
I'll go for Athletics, swimming and cycling, and probably some gymnastics.

I always enjoy beach volley ball. basketball, some of the track events, the marathon is interesting to get views of the host city, tennis, and swimming.

I've always been much more of a Winter Olympic fan. Must be a Canadian thing.
I tend to be a browser when the chance presents itself, or a story catches my attention.
But I've become a volleyball fan in the past couple year since my daughter started showing some high level ability.
So I will probably make a point of watching that.

I love the Olympics - the second most important event of the year (after Euro 2012 :p).
I'll be keeping a close eye on athletics, volleyball, tennis, swimming and gymnastics mostly.

Not watching TV in general it's very unlikely I'll watch anything. I suspect it'll be on TV whenever I go downstairs so if I see something interesting I may watch, but that's usually only hockey.. because I used to play that quite a bit, even as its 8 years ago I still have vague interest.

I like watching most of the sports...

... maybe except Badminton and Wrestling (The real one lol).

My favourite Olympic sports are cycling, rowing, athletics and swimming. I won't pay much attention (if any) to football and tennis because I am firmly against those as Olympic sports (along with Basketball).

The flag mistake was fantastic though. I wonder if it will cause a major diplomatic incident involving the Koreas and the UK.

I try to watch everything but of course, some of them get really boring. Though I absolutely will keep up with all the results and list them on my PC, did it for Athens 2004, did it for Beijing 2008, and will do for London 2012. :smartarse:

Of course, my favorite will be basketball as usual, as a basketball columnist, player and blogger. Football is not really fun in Olympics, I didn't enjoy the first two days. Women's football was actually more fun than men's football in first two days. Can't miss the most important one that is athletics and also swimming, volleyball, tennis, cycling and table tennis. Weightlifting and water polo also will catch my attention.

I wish the best for my country's athletes, hope there won't be any injuries and want to have a great three weeks.

Whilst I quite enjoy the Olympics and respect their status as a major event, the BBC have been relentlessly overbearing with their coverage and it's getting rather annoying!

The most ridiculous thing was that the flag bearer announcement was more important than what's been happening in Syria.

I'm actually pretty okay with that. Summer olympics in this country aren't where the money goes.
