Macs are CHEAP considering what they are bundled with. Windows based Pcs and laptops with similar configuarions usually are more expensive
Oh really?  Let me see...  A CD-RW/DVD drive instead of DVD-RW?  A 64 MB graphics card instead of at least 128 (which almost all windows based laptops have)?  These two are very good reasons not to get a macbook imo.  With the same amount of money you get a windows based laptop with far better specs.  And what I'm pissed about the macbooks is not their specs,  but the fact that 1099$ are around 780 Euros and not 1029 they have it here (it's more expensive in Greece).  And let's not forget the 1 year warranty.  According to some EU law,  all such machines must have at least a 2 year warranty*.

*Unfortunately,  most of the laptop brands in Greece don't follow this rule.  But that's just Greece to you,  since here in Germany they do (but not Apple).

Thats true, macs are quite a bit more expensive than Windows pc's with similar configurations (especiallu outside the US), but like Onhell said The software you get bundled with a mac (Not to mention OS X) is well worth it. Also Windows Vista sucks hard  :D

I know it does,  but I can't do anything about it.  So I'll stick with a windows based laptop,  or I'll get a desktop pc.  I haven't really decided what I need.

"The Norwegian party Venstre (socialist liberal) has proposed that all illegal file sharing should be legalized. They haven’t put much thought behind the populist proposal and the rationale is basically that since the music is there people should be allowed to consume it freely...

So, in response to this the Norwegian metal band ENSLAVED took a cab out to the Venstre party leader’s farm (he happens to be a sheep farmer) and "downloaded a sheep" with the same kind of motivation: free roaming sheep are available and should be consumed! The sheep was then brought back to the Norwegian parliament, quite an effective statement."

Downloading sheep...the new church burning?

Good for Kimi, even though I have no idea who he/she/it is...

Kimi Raikkonen, the Finnish F1 driver.

Continuing the Finnish tradition of random double consonants/lots of vowels/ridiculous numbers of umlauts in their names.

Yet another reason why Finland kicks-ass :D
reason 1. METAL
reason 2. HOCKEY
reason 3. FUCKING KICK ASS NAMES!
good social order/laws/system/taxes is close for third, but frankly... you can't beat the names.

Apparently, to Swedes, Finnish just sounds like one long vowel.

The problem with Finland is that there not that good at football (at least in comparison to the other Scandinavian countries), but Amorphis more than makes up for that. :D
