I had no idea what Stone Brewery was - so I googled and found that it's a Real Ale brewery in California. Interesting, I had no idea how popular real ale could be outside of the UK (more specifically, England - as the Scots and Welsh are not so renowned for the stuff). You all take the piss out of us having warm beer - yet you drink it.D&N said:Alcohol highlight of the day: Tried Double Bastard Ale from Stone Brewery, it's got like 10.5% alcohol. I had 2 pints of that and everything got really interesting.
Whenever I'm abroad I'm always met with blank stares when I ask if a pub has any ales, which is why I invariably gravitate towards the Irish pubs for a drop of the black stuff.Albie said:I had no idea what Stone Brewery was - so I googled and found that it's a Real Ale brewery in California. 10.5% alcohol is quite something, though.D&N said:I love the stuff Albie. Double Bastard Ale is new and if you can get your hands on one, you should try it. It's a new take on the original Arrogant Bastard Ale but has more alcohol and more of a bite to it.
