Tried using the search function but couldn’t find this: do we have a thread already for examples of similarities between Maiden songs and other artists’ music? I could’ve sworn we had one.

Anyway, found this riff in the instrumental section to this track which seems like something Janick may have recycled years later for Man on the Edge.

We did that in the individual song threads in the Commentary forums.

Not the only one Janick recycled I’m afraid.
Let him who have understanding recon Janick as a sustainability enthusiast -_-

I think he means separate dedicated thread, which we probably didn’t.

No, forget it, I realize by a bit of googling that there's an election in Ontario today. I thought perhaps @LooseCannon had stayed in Sweden long enough to gain the right to vote in local elections and that this was the cause for the excitement, as I assume he would've voted in many local elections before in his native Canada.

That is something I can never understand.

I just can't get invested enough in politics to do so. Plus both major parties have fucked us over during my lifetime, I haven't had any faith in either of them recently to make me believe that that's going to change. "So you vote for the smaller party", perhaps, but what's my vote gonna do? Very little, and I'm not the type to try and sway people's opinion to fit mine. I keep my nose out of politics, they baffle and anger me.

Looking forward to voting in the next few days. I actually live in the easiest state in the USA to vote, Colorado. Automatically registered when I turned 18 and automatically opted in to a mail ballot, plenty of drop off locations, and a issue book mailed to every voter that has detailed information about everything on the ballot. So no excuse not to. I actually have my ballot already but am waiting to help my little brother fill out his ballot as well.

I live in a somewhat “boring” area. Deep blue district and while Colorado is sometimes looked at as a swing state, I don’t see the Republicans winning in the Senate or the Governorship. There are a lot of important ballot measures that could go either way though.

Ballot measures don't happen here. This is local election, so mayor of the city and councilor for my ward.
