I'm yet to see The Favourite (because I'm reeeeealy not a Lanthimos fan) and Klansman from the big ones, but going through both the winners and the nominations I realised that there were probably no movies last year that would remain with me in the future (even 2016 when they fucked it up colossally with Moonlight had at least Arrival and Hacksaw Ridge)(I realised Hateful Eight is officially a 2015 movie, it was screened early January here)
Maybe Roma and even then I might like Cuarón's other work more.
In fact, probably most fondly remembered by me will be A Quiet Place (which, looking back, was really excellent and the alleged plot holes were really not that big and not that common - I'm glad CinemaWins agreed with me on that one, their video is a very cool response) and Hereditary, neither of which was even mentioned, but that's expected.
And if they wanted their Oscars black, they could have at least picked Black Panther.
