My girlfriend just told me I talk like the enigmatic author character from House of Cards. I don't know how to feel about that, especially with the way his story ends.

Still here in Houston. Got VERY lucky and had no water on my street. Even though Harvey has moved on to the east to Louisiana, the threat of flood is still here. The bayous, dams, and reservoirs are so full, the city has to slowly let them drain...which means flooding in neighborhoods is still happenning and some subdivisions are still being evacuated. Some roads are driveable now, but many are not.

Coldplay, Loverboy, Blaze Bayley, and many other acts have canceled their Houston concerts that were scheduled this week. Would LOVE to drive to another Texas city to see Blaze, but would not be right to leave family at a time like this...

Someone once told me my singing voice sounds exactly like Joni Mitchell. As the person in question was a Joni Mitchell fan I assumed he meant it as a compliment so I tried to smile politely and say thanks without giving away that I was really thinking ...

Glad you're staying safe and that you're not directly in the zone of harm.

I'm glad you're doing OK. I'm still very sorry that you actually have to live through all of that.

Good morning.

Had a few beers with a mate yesterday, when I came home I ended up sitting down to watch the US Open until well after midnight. Tired

'moring.

Work is exceptionally shitty these days. Been at work for over an hour now and haven't even been able to drink my coffee yet.
