I hate hats as well but flat caps are my thing. I wear them pretty much every day during winter and colder times of spring and autumn. I opt for bandanas during summer.

I have a lot of headphones I don't use anymore due to ear ringing, I can mail them all to you Flash :P

I think I have 3 pairs, so you should be good for 3 days or so :P

I like using headphones but my ears get itchy and uncomfortable so I prefer not to use them unless I have to. Kind of a bummer because music is really immersive in headphones and I could listen during night time more often if it wasn't so uncomfortable.

Current temperature outside is -14°C but it feels like -25°C, mostly because of the strong wind. And we had to wait for ages at the bus stop.

It reminded me of my childhood in Canada. I got nostalgic.

-12°C here. I gotta go to my grandparents across town and I'm gearing up as if I'm going on an Arctic expedition.

Slight minus here, down to -7 maybe at early morning hours. The harshness comes down to sun and wind. Right now winds aren't hitting, there's sunshine so it's not that critical for going out.
Hurricane-type Boras are killing it here. It's like somebody is hitting you with ice all the time. Hard to explain if you never felt it, in my personal opinion having -5(c) with hurricane bora is way worse than calm -20(c).
And of course physically dangerous. It ripped of this magnificent old 40m tall pine tree in front of my parent's place. The park service needed to cut the whole tree down. The empty spot looks sad now :(

OTOH, I've recently returned from Muscat, Oman and it's quite nice down there. However you don't want to be there in July ;)

Edit : that -7.2 this morning was apparently a record low for my city since 1963

IIRC, Boras are pretty nasty even during summer.

Starting to get cold.

I've already had two days of -30+ in Ottawa this year.
