I know. I myself have next to no gratification from watching other people doing sports. Maybe motorsports. I also used to watch baseball and basketball, but that's a very long time ago (Boykins was still playing with Denver Nuggets, for example). I don't even watch Olympics. I know I probably should (national conscience etc), but I just can't force myself to do so. Therefore even my knowledge is very so-so and sporadic.

On the other hand, people who like sports in general are more likely to participate in one, I guess. That's where my comment came from.

That's a very random pick to give as an example. :D

My passion for sports has shaped my life in big ways. I picked up English from an early age because of sports, so I probably wouldn't end up studying Translation if it wasn't for sports. I wouldn't have met my best friend. And the list goes on.

Sports are awesome. When you watch professional sports you're seeing people who trained their entire lives to get where they are and are the absolute best in the world at what they do. Not to mention the drama of a close championship game/series/whatever just can't be matched by anything else.

Even sports that I wouldn't call myself a fan of, (soccer, golf, college sports other than football..) I still completely respect and I try to catch their major events if I can.

Actually that would be fun...if so much havoc and controversy was caused in the 100.000 thread so that it had to be closed before the quest was over :p

I was making fun of Cried in the first place, and he can definitely manage that, but okay, as you wish, Per. Actually, that thread got started because I re-posted some shit about Animals as Leaders in the first place... and missing out on the progress, I certainly don't know what happened there, but I really wanted to discuss that (the tolerance stuff). Before it got deleted.

It's all because of me....I suggested taking the metal elitism discussion elsewhere after seeing like 10 replies about it in the best album of 2016 thread.....
