Ah, you know, tap these four lands, use the sorcery saying that when two red lands are tapped, you can tap a third one, spawn a creature - it has haste, so no summoning sickness, tap it and make it attack the bastard - that costs just two mana, your second creature has vigilance so it can attack and not be tapped which will come in handy in the next round, he blocks the first one with his flying creature, but yours has trample so he himself gets dealt 3 of damage, against the second creature he uses an instant, but you have your instant ready and overturn it. Your mana is depleted, so it might seem his turn would be bad for you, but - like I said - the second creature has vigilance so you can protect yourself from the worst he has to offer.

My little brother thought it looked great because there was a dog in the trailer.

I agree though, looked like a cheap tv movie. Same with that monster truck thing.
