So, when the US elections were going on, I tried very hard to understand why people hated Clinton and voted for Trump. The result was that I became trapped in an Alt-Right filterbubble for several months on certain social media sites. It did help me understand how these people think. But now that I know, I want out. I can't listen to this bullshit they're spewing anymore. But my YouTube front page keeps giving me links to all these channels. No matter how often I tell it to not show me a particular channel anymore or how much other stuff I watch on YouTube, these ugly, self-absorbed, righteous and often enough flat-out lying faces keep appearing and reappearing.

Waiting for the bus in the night in December, fucking cold. Because when you wait for the bus at this time, you've been at a party and you aren't dressed for winter. Brrrr ...
Coherent.
Cold as well habe posted in Dribl osting. Slow Sunday expected.
Less coherent.

There was a half hour between those posts. You and NP would get on well, in queues...

Same here, actually.

Some of them make good points and help you see a different perspective, but they're usually aligned with flat out insane people and you get the godawful with the decent. That Paul Joseph Watson dude for example. Very irritating way of talking but he makes some interesting videos. But the credibility kinda goes out the window once you realize the guy works for Alex fucking Jones.

I appreciate the patience and tolerance for that side, but what are the good points?

Well they cover a lot of ground, it's not like they talk about a single thing.

They did a tremendous job covering Hillary's corruptness and the faults of the American political establishment, but they did it while trying to hide Trump's own evil ways and tried to pass him off as a man of the people when he really isn't. So like I said, you get the good with the bad. Same story with the leftist media, they did a good job targeting Trump's faults, but did it while painting Hillary as a good candidate.

This is why I think it's a good idea to check out ideas from all political spectrums. Makes for a healthy balance. This is what I think democracy is all about anyway.

Yes, the checking out a perspective is a good thing, but I haven't found better points and solutions from Trump (voters).

Trying to combat a rough Monday with these guys:

Same baked potato recipe I posted before, only with melted cheese on top.

I hate this day. And I'm going to hate this week.
My day today involved, going to work and finding out we are getting rid of a server that has been the band of my work life for the last year or so, then stopped briefly for a funeral. Then back to work and laid out my plans for getting rid of said server. Whilst the funeral was very sad, it was still a good day.
