After I've made the point that the coup was a terrible thing for us and I was in complete opposition of it, I can comment on this:

The way AKP supporters attacked the soldiers was very ISIS like. They were chanting Takbir the entire night. The muezzins in mosques recited Conquest Surah from Quran the entire night. They beheaded a soldier on the Bosphorus Bridge, threw some of them off the bridge and beat them up after they had surrendered. These soldiers were merely young men following the orders of their commanders. A lot of graphic images around and I'm saddened to have seen some of them.

We weren't their enemy last night. But all of us know what these guys' mindsets are. When tables turn, we might be their target and it's a very, very scary thought.
