I always looked at group projects as a 'get ready for real life' sort of situation.

This is just my opinion, but wherever I've worked at, I consider us a team. If one of the guys does something wrong, we all take the blame for it. If one gets something right, we spread the accolades. We don't throw each other under the bus.

Life is just that, if you do something with a group (and there are a lot of jobs that are done by group) you take the wins and losses as a team. Whether or not you like that kind of thing.

Of course you take wins and losses as a team. That's why you gotta push your teammates to be better. If your team performs badly and you don't feel bad about it because you personally did well, I think that's where it goes wrong. And in my case, I felt bad that we weren't up to par as a group despite personally delivering and knowing that my grades aren't likely to be affected by it.

I won't throw anyone under the bus at any situation but I will be a harsh critic if someone isn't working hard.

There are definitely jobs for solo workers too, because not everybody is able to work like that. When our office was closed, one member of staff was distraught because she couldn't cope with working alone from home all the time.

Brig: Not that many to be honest, compared to other regulars. For years I posted even less out here than nowadays.

Mostly music, games and general forum. And some silly stuff.

I see.

Meanwhile, my son just voted against the Sea of Madness solo.... I'm not upset or anything. I'd just prefer he listens to his father more often, especially when facing important matters such as these.
Kidding people, kidding... :D He goes his own way.

OK! What's his forum handle? Does he post often?
It's not too late for the son! (Emoticon not working from iPad)
