A female Lebanese TV host has won wide-spread support after standing her ground against an Islamist scholar following his sexist comments live on air.

Rima Karaki was conducting an interview with London-based Islamist Hani Al-Seba'i for Lebanon's Al Jadeed on the weekend of International Women’s Day, discussing reports of Christians joining Islamic groups such as ISIS in the Middle East when the scholar went off on a historical tangent.

How the hell are those albums so cheap?
I've managed to acquire every one of his albums up to Is There Love In Space? for much cheapness.
These prices are inclusive of postage and all VG or better CDs:

Not of This Earth (1986) £2.24
Surfing with the Alien (1987) £1.46
Flying in a Blue Dream (1989) £2.25
The Extremist (1992) £2.23
Time Machine (1993) £2.99
Joe Satriani (1995) £2.25
Crystal Planet (1998) £1.97
Engines of Creation (2000) £2.23
Strange Beautiful Music (2002) £2.15
Is There Love in Space? (2004) £2.45
(= £22.22 all in for ten albums.)
I guess some people desperately want to get rid of their CDs. (They might be 5th hand, who knows. ;) )
Most of them are "as new", with barely a mark on the cases &/or artwork, never mind the CDs.
People just seem to buy 'em, burn 'em --& eBay 'em! :D

Curious: is there a Guns N' Roses or Tom Waits thread?

There is no Tom Waits thread. But I am in full support of one!

Just bought three Satch albums:

Time Machine
[1993] - £2.99
Strange Beautiful Music [2002] - £2.15
Is There Love In Space? [2004] - £2.45

And them prices are all-in inc. postage to my highland retreat.

Strange Beautiful Music is amazing and one of my favorite Satch albums. Cheers!

It's been snowing for the past six days. Half the country is virtually closed down. This picture was taken this morning near my hometown.

And we've had sunny weather May-like weather for most of the past month.
It usually rains here for much of February and all of March.

I just bought a flat. Half from savings, other half is loaned from the bank (that's going to hang over my head for the next 15 years...). The place is perfect - interior is brand new, interior design suits me completely, size and position is what I've been searching for. And price isn't too much.

But hey, 15 years is going to pass very, very fast, and I'll have my own piece of world after that :)

I once had a winter like that in Wisconsin. It's dangerous, if emergency services can't get around. Snow doesn't stop fires or injuries. I hope you're safe there.

Congratulations. We are one year from paying our house off (20 years in the making) and in the middle of debating a move to another.
Can't believe how sentimentally attached I am to the old place, especially considering it meant nothing to me when I bought. Add in the thought of a new mortgage this close to being mortgage-free, and I am not sure if I can do it. The new place sure is nice though.
