I just took a job at a book store again. It's been 5 years since I worked there, but if I have to do retail, bookselling is the way to go. Most people that shop for any kind of book are at least halfway intelligent.

Most of the time, I walk around in a Maiden or metal shirt anyway. I guess if I saw Bruce, he'd see I recognise him right away, and I'd just look at the way he reacts to decide on what to do. I've met a few musicians from bands I like, including Blaze and Steve, and... they were all just normal people, really. I don't get why somebody would stutter or start sweating when they talk to them.
I wouldn't get all freaked out and lose control if I saw a member of Maiden in public. Sure, I'd be a little starstruck which is only normal, but if I did approach them, I'd try my very best to act like they're just another person and just walk up to them and say "Hey Bruce. How's it going?" or something like that. The last thing you want to do is totally freak out which will scare them away.

Thank you Perun. BW, I feel what you said was uncalled for and offended me quite a bit. Show some fucking respect for those living with the disease and who have died from it as well.

Anyway, here is some amazing progressive metal for your enjoyment.

I walked dad's dog tonight for the first time and it's a hassle. Took me a while to calm him down and put him on the leash. He's just jumping and jumping and jumping

First day of work: I kind of know how to use a cash register now. Of course, some errors occur from time to time but most customers I can handle quite okay. The most difficult task is memorizing the prices for everything but since it's a very small shop, most prices are visible from the counter. I worked for almost 6 hours and I'm pretty tired actually. It is a very interesting experience but I can imagine it getting tedious soon. Anyway, my goal is to keep going for 3 weeks.

You'll get used to it. I call it "Retail Legs" - your legs have to get used to standing for long hours without a lot of movement or rest. Eventually, you won't feel as tired and you'll have stronger legs and more stamina for standing at metal shows!

The post-World Cup blues is hitting me hard today ...

You could make a song out of that.

The post-World Cup blues, it hit me so hard
Yeah, the post-World Cup blues, it me so hard
I haven't felt this blue since I got that red card
