@____no5: I have tonight sampled some Gewurztraminer and I must say, it's not bad. It had a real taste of rose petals almost like Turkish Delight. Not bad, but I would have to have it with something sweet to eat. I'd give it a 7 out f 10.

However, I followed that with my favourite wine of the moment - Red Bicyclette Chardonnay.

The two bottles were not drunk by myself, I must add, it was shared. :D

7 /10 is not a good rate for a wine of Alsace  :(

anyway, it's a bit my mistake to mention Gewurztraminer (as it's more famous -also it gives some grand crus)
as my Alsace's favourite is Klevener

well, taste it some day !

by the way thanks for the link, I'll try to find your Red Bicyclette

one fav buttery chardonnay is Combre d'Eve 2004, Côte de Beaune

translated from a french blog :

What a beautiful concentration, as well with the nose and in mouth. This wine is vinified out of barrel, and the grapes come from an instigated piece 100% with natural regenerative products of the vine. The nose is enthralling, rich, complex, ripe and fruity. Sharp and fine acidity, a rich and sensual juice, a finale combining the minerality, sensuality and elegance. A high-class wine for the restauration. The price consuming less than 30€ is completely justified! I love it!!!

Now, how the fuck does one go from THAT INTRO to talking about porn on Howard Stern?

np : whiskey in the jar, Thin Lizzy

As I was goin over the cork and kerry mountains
I saw captain farrell and his money he was countin
I first produced my pistol and then produced my rapier
I said stand and deliver or the devil he may take ya

Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Whack for my daddy-o
Whack for my daddy-o
Theres whiskey in the jar-o

I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny
I took all of his money and I brought it home to molly
She swore that shed love me, never would she leave me
But the devil take that woman for you know she tricked me easy

Being drunk and weary I went to mollys chamber
Takin my money with me and I never knew the danger
For about six or maybe seven in walked captain farrell
I jumped up, fired off my pistols and I shot him with both barrels

Now some men like the fishin and some men like the fowlin
And some men like ta hear a cannon ball a roarin
Me I like sleepin specially in my mollys chamber
But here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain yeah

I tell you what, I rarely pay much more than £5 (around €7.3) - you get a lot of decent stuff for that sort of price.
