As someone who is actually old enough to have seen the original, with Carl Sagan, which I watched as a kid with my dad, I am underwhelmed by the new guy. That said, I am forcing my kids to watch this one. They really like it.

I love Neil deGrasse Tyson. But I recognize that he's no Carl Sagan. I'm glad your kids enjoy A Spacetime Odyssey - I've been full-blown enthralled with it.

Sucks. Like, needs surgery fucked up? Or just stay off it for a while? I still play basketball, and live in fear of the Achilles injury. See above -- I'm old. Fortunately, I don't move very quickly any more, maybe that explains why no major leg injuries.

Stay off it for awhile but if it doesn't get better you're pencilled in for a specialist in about 1.5 months.

1.5 months? :scared:

The preliminary literature list for my MA is 4 pages. Four pages. It's insane.

Wow, sorry. Hope it gets better before then.
It probably will be fine, the GP is just getting me the appointment out of due diligence - which I appreciate, just in case. Now that it's wrapped and supported, the pain is almost gone, so I'm guessing in a week or so it'll look OK. Regardless of whether or not I have to go, the specialist will still get my before and after x-rays and send on a review to the GP, so I'm fine with this whole thing - especially the cost.

Before expanding it. All the literature included now is the one I'm already citing.
