Quite fascinating indeed. And some pictures really are terrifying.

I actually think this is a very clever way of helping children overcome their fears. Not viewing the pictures but taking part in their preparation and shooting.

As in, showing them it's not real?

Exactly, they will see it as a game and know the monsters are fake.
There's one thing we studied in our psychology classes and I thought it was a valuable lesson - don't try to convince people their fears are not real, because they are to them. Instead, help them to defeat them.

I should keep that in mind when dealing with some people I know.
