Post-coffee:

Good morning, world! What does the week have in store for us?

All their stores were taken over by a chain that tries very hard to be a Walmart clone, including scamming its customers and treating its employees as slaves, but fortunately, I have plenty of alternatives to go to.

I didn't even realize Walmart or Walmart-like stores existed in other countries. But I wonder if Walmarts in other countries attract the same colorful people that the ones over here do?

I don't know. Basically, any store in my area attracts colourful people, but that's because my area is inhabited predominantly by colourful people. ;)

Many of the international supermarket chains have their home base here, so the line between going international and local is kind of blurred.

Oh, of course it is. I didn't mean to say it was better because it was local. It's just cheap and really close to where I live.

I would actually think it's better when local. I can't think that the same generic budget brand products you get in every chain store would be preferable to a local product.

Maybe that's just my dislike for large brands talking.

Yeah, Arabic coming up. Lates.

The clientele isn't really what bothers me, rather the misanthropic methods of the stores themselves.
