Fortunately everyone seems to have escaped alive, and not many seriously injured, but many people have lost their homes. Also, many of these houses were of historical value.

I guess it was key that the people in the first house got out in time to alert their neighbours. This being a place with old wooden houses, I guess everyone was well aware of the fact that a fire could spread fast there.
