The extended editions are cool but I never really saw the point of them. I mean, I get the point...because there's a ton of extras and what not but a two-disc thing is just fine for me. The movie and a disc of special features.

The extended film is on two discs and the rest consists of extra's. Quite a lot indeed.

I still haven't finished all the extra's from the LOTR-DVDs. Not because it is utterly boring (on the contrary), rather because I watched a ton of other films since these came out. ;-)

Hm, considering Gladiator also has two discs of special features, I guess it doesn't sound too outlandish. Not for a production this big, anyway. Whichever way you look at it, they really do seem to try to get the most out of these films.

It's funny that the Lord of the Rings production almost looks modest by comparison.

Given how it has been the governing force of my life for longer than I can remember, well... bleh.

Well guys, I'm heading out for the day. I'm heading to a Steampunk train ride event and there will be absinthe tasting... Let's just say that I may or may not be reappearing in the Drunk Posting thread tonight... We shall see.

Oh dear, absinthe is evil, evil stuff.
It was only a tasting so no drunkie for me. But it was a lot of fun. It was the first time I had absinthe and don't think I'll make a habit if drinking it. That black licorice taste....yuck! I think I'd have to drink a lot of it for it to become evil. But actually...instead of making me drunk, it made me hyper. o_O
