On his opening speech for Mediterranean Games, our prime minister said "Akdeniz is called White Sea in English". We refer to the Mediterranean as White Sea (Akdeniz), but obviously the rest of the world doesn't.

Well, it could be worse. He could do like Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway (or his speech writer): On an official visit to Portugal, he was talking about the differences and similarities between our two countries, and mentioned how Norway lies by the harsh Arctic sea whereas Portugal lies by the "warm beaches of the Mediterranean"

Something similar happened here. I was sitting at my computer at the desk (and still am...) which faces the window and glanced up from the screen and noticed that it felt darker than it should be. Then the rain started hammering it down for five minutes or so.

I finally got Somewhere In Time loaded and running. I was working on some computers, just kinda halfway listening and Alexander The Great came on and I had to stop and listen for a while...
