Since part of my vacation is in Berlin, it is all up to Perun to make it worthwhile ... no pressure at all :)

... and it would be nice if it stopped raining in Thüringen

Indeed. And Bavaria, Saxony and the Czech Republic.

Yes, the rain looks pretty bad, I wish we had some more of it here.

I have been watching it closely on the news mainly looking at Karlovy Vary/Karlsbad .. which I think is the nicest town I have every been to. I have been plotting ways to be able to work 100% remote for 6-ish months so I can spend it there. It looks like it is not too bad there (but getting Czech news in English is not so easy)

It's really bad in Prague, Passau and Dresden right now. Those places are prone to flooding, but these seem to be the worst floods in centuries.

Passau: highest water since 1501!

The city has three rivers flowing through it.

That is why I was concerned with Karlsbad, there is a river that feeds into a canal that goes through the middle of the old town area .. which is incredibly nice (except for the communist era Hotel Thermal .. God Awful ugly building which looks 100% worse given all the other fabulous buildings and parks near it)
