Thanks! Yes, it is (I started in the company as a Project Engineer one and half years ago) and means that I'll be given more independent work tasks than before (with the increased expectations that follow).

Some people ask to be reassured rather than hearing an actual opinion. And if the opinion doesn't match their expectations they will go out kicking and screaming.
